Tree Top Quest in 2015

Alton Towers is launching a brand new attraction for 2015, with the opening of the Enchanted Forest Tree Top Quest. A fantastical high ropes course set within the captivating woodland of the brand new Enchanted Village; the Tree Top Quest will feature both an adult and junior course.

With 19 challenging elements on the adult course, guests can swing from the trees as they navigate their way through the forest. Starting from the tower turret, transverse nets, swing tyres and stepping stones await before hurtling back down to earth on a zipwire. Those with a head for heights can tackle the series of obstacles and even zipwire through an enclosed tunnel.

Mark Kerrigan, the Resort Development Director, said:

This development will assist in underlining our status as a short break destination and it will be open year round alongside the hotels, water park, spa and conference centre, forming a unique experience for the guests who already stay overnight with us.

It has been sensitively designed to ensure it will not detrimentally impact the character and appearance of the surrounding landscape and will complement the new enchanted village lodge development as the course will lead adventurers around the woodland adjacent to it.

The Enchanted Village Tree Top Quest will see visitors suspended up to 13 metres in the air as they walk or swing over platforms and bridges, returning to earth on zip wires. It hopes 300 visitors will use the attraction every day.

Work continues at Alton Towers on the construction of 122 Woodland Lodges and 10 Luxury Treehouses in a 'fairytale' Enchanted Village to the north of the Alton Towers Hotel, Splash Landings Hotel and Alton Towers Waterpark.
