Alton Towers recently introduced the next generation in video souvenirs using state-of-the-art cameras and software technology! You can now take home a unique personalised film featuring you and your friends and family having a great day out around the park and on the top rides with a special 20 minute DVD. During the 2008 season footage from both the Congo River Rapids and The Flume will be added.
Mutiny Bay
For the 2008 season a re-themed land has opened at the Alton Towers theme park, including 2 fantastic new rides and 1 rejuvenated attraction. The new pirate-themed family area has cost over £6m to develop and has been named 'Mutiny Bay'.
The centrepiece is a spectacular new interactive 'splash battle' water attraction called 'Battle Galleons' where swashbucklers are assured of a spectacular soaking! Prepare to jump aboard a mighty galleon and take part in a fun-filled battle for all ages.
There's also a thrilling new 'rock-n-tug' boat ride named ‘Heave Ho’ along with a transformation of the Tea Cups into spinning sensation 'Marauders Mayhem' set within barrels of rum and accompanied by explosives guaranteed to shiver your timbers!
