Events at Chessington World of Adventures

If you are looking to take your family on a unique adventure this half term, then visit Chessington World of Adventures for a taste of Africa without having to leave the leafy suburbs of Surrey! Discover a week of African Adventures from 11th-19th February 2012 set amongst the wilds of Chessington’s Zoo, Sea Life Centre and safari-themed hotel.

Adventurers have the chance to explore and enjoy African culture with face mask decorating, jewellery making, African inspired dance and song, face painting and African drumming and of course meet lots of African animals amongst the 200 species.

If all of that wasn’t enough, CBeebies favourite Raa Raa the Noisy Lion makes a return too. Raa Raa will be available for meet and greets on the park throughout the half term holiday plus families staying at the hotel will get the chance to enjoy a character breakfast with Raa Raa himself too! For younger adventurers, Raa Raa based arts and crafts will also be available for them to get creative with.

After an action packed day, kids can join the Movie Club or play in the Wii Lounge at the hotel whilst adults can relax in the Zafari Bar & Grill for a truly African experience. Guests can also try a spot of African wine tasting looking out over the Wanyama Village & Reserve where Grevy’s Zebras, Sitatungas, Dorcas Gazelles, and Scimitar Horned Oryx roam.
