Kids and parents alike will be able to join Mouse on a picturesque riverboat journey through the deep dark wood when The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure opens in March 2017. As park-goers float down the lazy river, the story of The Gruffalo will magically unfold in front of their eyes with exciting twists and turns along the way.
The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure will be accompanied by many other Gruffalo offerings, including four brand new Gruffalo themed rooms in the Chessington Safari Hotel, a brand new retail shop and food outlet both offering themed goodies, character meet and greets with The Gruffalo himself plus much much more!
The new attraction replaces the Bubbleworks which closed in September 2016 and although it will use the same ride system, the rest will be completely transformed for this magical new experience.
Over at the Chessington Safari Hotel kids can play and stay in the safety of Mouse's treehouse, while adults relax in the comfort of the deep dark wood. There will also be interactive elements, including a hidden door concealing a Gruffalo gift.
The Gruffalo has previously appeared at Chessington World of Adventures as part of their Christmas event Chessington Winter’s Tail in 2014, performing in a live show followed by meet and greets afterwards.
With over 40 rides and attractions in 10 themed lands, a Zoo and SEA LIFE centre with over 1000 animals, Chessington World of Adventures offers a world of excitement for the whole family.
