Celebrate the half term with a trip to Drayton Manor theme park, near Tamworth in Staffordshire, which is ready to welcome families for a week of fun, laughter and adventure.
Events at Drayton Manor From Friday 10th to Monday 20th February 2012, a number of Drayton Manor’s most popular attractions will be open, including Thomas Land, the 15-acre zoo, Ben 10: Ultimate Mission roller coaster and the 4D Cinema.
Thomas Land at Drayton Manor is home to many rides and attractions based on loveable Thomas & Friends characters, including Cranky the Crane and Harold the Helicopter. There’s a Thomas the Tank Engine train ride, indoor and outdoor play areas, a café and shop.
The home of Thomas and his friends also features rides such as the
Troublesome Trucks Rollercoaster, Jeremy’s Flying Academy, Rockin Bulstrode, and Terence's Driving
School. Open daily 11am until 4pm.
The Ben 10: Ultimate Mission rollercoaster, based on the Ben 10 TV series, produced by Cartoon Network, launches riders forwards on their first tour of the 180m track, hitting speeds of 55kph and a g-force of 3, before returning travelling backwards along the same route.
Meanwhile, Drayton Manor Zoo has more than 100 animal species from around the world, including big cats, monkeys and primates, as well as penguins and various reptiles.
