The long awaited waterpark at Drayton Manor will not be built in the foreseeable future, with plans postponed indefinitely.
A covered waterpark, similar to Cariba Creek at Alton Towers, was due to be added by 2012. It would have included up to 20 slides, a wave pool and lazy river. The name for the new park had previously been confirmed as 'Stormalong Bay'.
However, the park are continuing to work towards the opening of a new hotel, which is now due to open in 2010. The plans for the Drayton Manor Hotel have also been recently adjusted, with the number of rooms increasing from 72 to 150.
