There's a swashbucklin’ Pirate and Princess Takeover at Alton Towers this February with tons of Pirate and Princess activities for all the family.
Take part in fabulous family gameshows, show off your best costumes in the amazing Fancy Dress parade and be amazed by Pirate Pegg’s magic show. Attend princess school where you can help Loana the Brave remember how to be a princess and enjoy the action-packed show ‘High Seas and Hijinks: A Pirate Adventure’, full of treasure, heroic rescue and Pirate training. Complete the treasure hunt around the Resort to help Princess Isabella Adelaide of Alton find the Jewels stolen from her by Shark Tooth Jack for the chance to win a terrific prize. Then finish the day off at a full-filled Pirate and Princess party.

Thomas & Friends at Drayton Manor

Drayton Manor is home to Europe’s only Thomas Land so why not join in all the family fun this February Half Term and enjoy meeting Thomas and all his friends.
From Saturday 10th – Sunday 25th February 2018 you can enjoy all the rides and attractions in Thomas Land as well as meeting all the animals in the 15-acre zoo.

Little Africa opens at Paultons Park
11th - 18th February 2018
Little Africa will house a number of animals native to the continent, including fennec fox, African crested porcupines, meerkats, Savannah monitor lizards and giant train millipedes, as well as one of the largest rodents in Africa, the Gambian pouched rat, and also the smallest, the African pygmy mouse.
At the centre of Little Africa is an impressive aviary where a mix of bird species such as the trumpeter hornbills, Madagascan teal and black-crowned night herons, will share the same environment that has been designed to replicate an African water hole.
Plus, almost all of the other rides and attractions at Paultons Park will also be open too!*
* closed attractions: The Edge, Raging River Ride Log Flume and Tea Cup Ride.
Fab Feb Family Fun at Lightwater Valley
14th - 18th February 2018

Although the full theme park is not open, selected rides and other children's attractions will be available.
The event is ideal for 8's and unders as the park will have heaps to do both indoors and outdoors with a selection of rides and giant indoor inflatables for you to run wild and let loose on! The Angry Birds Activity Park and Angry Birds Space will be open along with the Lightwater Bird of Prey Centre with over 50 amazing raptors, mammals and reptiles. You'll also find Riggmoor Mobile Farm with lots of cute and cuddly animals for you to pet and feed, including rabbits, lambs, piglets, miniature ponies, cows and alpacas.

Due to the popularity of this event tickets must be prebooked online, payment on the day is not available. Pre-bookings must be made by midnight on the day before you wish to visit and cannot be made for the same day.
Winter at Flamingo Land
10th - 18th February 2018
Flamingo Land Zoo is currently open 10am - 4pm daily, allowing you to enjoy over 140 species. This extends to the Peter Rabbit Adventure and Lily Bobtail’s Nature Discovery playgrounds, Children's Planet, Reptile River, Muddy Duck Farm, Treetop Walkway, Wallaby Walkway and the Aquarium.
During the half term holidays The Pirates of Zanzibar will be making a welcome return and most of Dino-Stone Park will be open.
With performances at 11am, 1pm and 3pm each day, the Pirates of Zanzibar show provides great live entertainment for all the family. Telling the story of a crew descended from the infamous Spice Pirates, simply head on over to The Black Heart galleon in Plaza Square to hear Captain Plunder's tales of the high seas, while his crew bring their spice stealing stories to life.
Dino-Stone Park is well worth a visit too. Here you will discover fun and excitement that all ages can enjoy, including a selection of themed rides, animatronic dinosaurs and the Dino-Dig fossil hunt.
