ThemeParks-UK is celebrating 20 years as your guide to UK theme parks in 2020, and to mark the occasion we are launching the inaugural UK Theme Park Awards.

The new £37 million Gulliver’s Valley theme park in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, is set to open its doors to the public for the first time, on Saturday 11th July.

West Midland Safari Park will be reopening their Adventure Theme Park on Saturday 4th July, with Zoono protection for the rides and attractions.

From the 4th July, the Government will allow theme parks in England to reopen, providing that they can do so safely.

The Wicksteed Charitable Trust, which owns Wicksteed Park in Kettering, has launched a new fundraising appeal in a bid to save the park.

Following the Government announcement that zoos are now allowed to re-open, Chessington World of Adventures will be opening for Zoo Days from Thursday 18th June.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is preparing to re-open the theme park on the 4th July 2020, in line with current Government guidance.

The London Resort, a proposed £5 billion theme park and entertainment resort in Kent, has announced a new public consultation will take place later this year.

In line with current Government guidance, Merlin Entertainments are expecting to be able to re-open their UK theme parks on the 4th July 2020.

Thorpe Park has taken the decision to postpone the launch of the new Black Mirror Labyrinth attraction until Spring 2021.
