Oakwood's Sleepy Hollow

Oakwood in Wales will open a new area at the theme park based on The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in 2015.

The new £2m multi-attraction will replace the former Wild West themed area, which was previously home to popular dark ride Brer Rabbit's Burrow, alongside the current Spooky 3D haunted house ride and Panning for Gold. The new attractions will be themed as The Headless Horseman and The Tree of the Dead but further details are still a secret.

The revamp is another new use for the space, which in the past was also themed as New Orleans with Voodoo Mansion (now Spooky 3D) and Brer Rabbit's Burrow. Previously to that it was called Jake's Town with Nutty Jake's Gold Mine (which became Brer Rabbit's Burrow) and animatronic puppet show Jake's Music Hall (which was replaced with Vodoo Mansion, and is now Spooky 3D).

The new area was due to open for Summer 2014, as ThemeParks-UK reported in April, but has been pushed back to 2015.
