Feature Name: What's good and what's not
What's good - The huge parks, incredible attention to detail, fantastic theming, imaginative rides and attractions, cleanliness of park, parades and shows, more reasonable queue times (especially with Fast Pass) that smile on kids faces when they get to meet the Disney characters, the magic!
What's not - The very overpriced food (twice the price of a equivalent
McDonald's meal), pure adrenaline addicts may be disappointed but i certainly wasn't!

RITA - This is one of the fastest roller coasters in the UK and has a speed of 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds. You have your photo taken from the straightt where you are thrown at 60 mph and it's very smooth - that first bit is very hard to cope with as the speed of the ride means you cant breath. Then after you make the turn you go quite slow and it's very rough on the rest of the track and takes forever to get off.

This place is home to the HULK coaster, one of the best in my opinion. 7 inversions and a propelled start that zooms you up the lift hill at 0-40 in 2 seconds straight into an inline twist. Then there's Dueling Dragons, an inverted (like nemisis) coaster, but there's 2 different tracks that by-pass each other 3 times. Ones called Fire, the other Ice. Both of which are superb and have 5 Inversions. If you fancy getting wet go on Dudley do rights ripsaw falls, if you come off dry i'll give you my house! There's so much other stuff there too, just go check it out. Pure class!

Detonater looked like it would be my favourite ride the moment it came into view.To get my nerves ready for this monster I went on Depth Charge,Tidal Wave and Slammer... maximum thrill rides aswell! As I aproached Detonater I saw people being hoisted up 100 feet, held for five seconds and dropped at speeds of up to 45mph back to earth! I was on,.my restraint had locked right in position and my legs had left the ground! 80 feet...85 feet...90 feet...95 feet...100 feet. I was at the top. A voice of a young girl sings "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.".BANG!!! The G-force was imense!I coudn't move, breath or scream. All I could do was hold on. I couldn't help but stay in my seat and ride it again and again! 50,000/10

Now Chessington is not a thrill park, nor does it offer a large selection of major thrill attractions. But what it does offer is a safe and enjoyable retreat for the whole family to enjoy. Whenever I visit Chessington I am always amazed at how much I enjoy it there. The whole park is divided in to many different areas that are individually themed. Each area has a completely different atmosphere, which is filled with magic. I used to go to Chessington as a child and I used to be enchanted by the atmosphere of the rides. What larger rides that the park does have are built in to amazing scenery, which is one of the reasons the park is so magic. When you visit Chessington you have a choice. You are not restricted to one type of ride, but are offered from the tranquil and tame to the larger rides. This park may lack a few major thrill rides but I rate it for its versatile array of attractions.

In late Agust My Dad and I went to Thorpe Park for a day. We got there at about 10:20 and decided to start the day with a splash. After two goes on depth charge which was pretty tame but gives you a nice bit of air time on the final drop we headed over to rumba rapids for a laugh. This turned out to be one of the most boring rides I have ever been on. We then went on loggers leap a couple of times which was quite fun. After a quick lunch I headed over to Collosus which to my delight had six minute queues. I lined up trying to ignore the whispers about the power of ten and look foward to the ride. I entered the station and my heart beat faster as I neared the gate. It was my turn the train came in full of passengers looking a bit dissgruntled one got of complaining about headbanging occuring on the hard plastic shoulder restraints and a girl got of looking green and right then and there threw up. The gates opened and the restraints opened. A voice from the speaker told me it was now time to board the train. I decided to give this ride a miss and headed over to tidal wave which had relatively short queue times. I rode this monster 5 times each time better than the last. After this I ran towards Nemesis Inferno before much to my dismay being told by my Dad that we had to go. I did have a good a day out.

Alton Towers is a fantastic place for everyone. It offers a great selection of thrill rides such as ripsaw and the bone shaker and also has brilliant rollercoasters like air which is tilted forward so its like your flying. The only bad thing about it is that you have to queue for ages but its well worth it and i would reccomend this park to anyone. Im also going to disney land paris next year and hope it will be as good.

I think if you want a theme park with something for everyone you should go to Drayton Manor as i am
not exactly a fan of huge rides but there is still plenty to do. I hope to face my fears and brave the rides. I have been to Alton Towers but there are not really many rides for people who dont like huge rides. I really love Drayton Manor and will be going there tomorrow.

Ride: Slammer
From: Jamie
After I went to Thorpe Park back in March, I was surprised. The queues were short, I literally walked straight onto Colossus and Nemesis Inferno. Anyway, me and my mate tried Slammer. When I was queuing up my heart was pounding and I was slightly scared. But once I rode it I wanted to go on it again. It was really fun and quite a long lasting ride. Although the restraints lock instantly and sometimes press down on your shoulders, I found that this was an amazing ride. See, you don't have to be in America to see great rides. Don't forget, we have Colossus!

Ride: Slammer
From: Paul Roots
As the slammer ride lifts to it's full height, dramatic music is played. Once the ride begins all you see is sky, then as you plummet towards the floor you lose the ability to scream and you feel as if you're about to fall from the ride. The whole experience is amazing but you have a bit of a headache for a while after.
