New for 2026: The Launchpad
Replacing the former Amity Beach, The Launchpad is Thorpe Park’s brand-new central 'recharge zone'. Designed as a stylish, modern plaza for thrillseekers to rest, reset, and refuel between adrenaline hits, this massive redevelopment features new seating areas, shaded structures, and vibrant landscaping that reflects the park’s fresh identity. With a focus on guest comfort, the area includes a variety of new food and beverage kiosks and a performance stage for seasonal live entertainment.
New for 2024: Big Easy Boulevard
Thorpe Park has transformed the heart of the island into Big Easy Boulevard, a vibrant new land inspired by the spirit of New Orleans. This immersive area has revitalized the park's central hub, bringing a burst of color, jazz-inspired soundtracks, and a relaxed 'Mardi Gras' atmosphere. Thorpe Park officially unleashed Hyperia, the UK’s tallest and fastest roller coaster, on 24th May 2024. New for 2023: Ghost Train
The reimagined Ghost Train experience opened its doors on 26th May 2023, taking guests on a harrowing journey through the dark history of the London Underground. Moving away from the former VR-led experience, this high-tension attraction features a chilling new storyline, state-of-the-art special effects, and a cast of live actors designed to blur the lines between reality and the supernatural.
