Thorpe Park will launch The Swarm, a new B&M Wing Rider roller coaster, in 2012.
The impressive ride, code-named "LC12", will be 127ft tall (making it the 2nd tallest ride at the theme park) and will carry an apocalyptic theme where riders fly through a crash scene and experience full size theming including a plane, helicopter, fire engine, and several trucks.
It will be located on a new island north of Stealth, connected to the rest of the theme park by a bridge. There will be new facilities on the island such as toilets, retail and catering units. Ride Plans |

New for 2011: Storm Surge |
|
This 64ft spinning raft ride adds an additional element of fun for thrill-seekers and families alike as they spin out of control down this insane sky-high water ride.
Storm Surge has joined Thorpe Park from Cypress Gardens in the US and has replaced the Octopus Garden. As a result, all of the small rides for young children that were in this area are no longer available. This is an addition to the the spectacularly themed Amity Cove, alongside Tidal Wave, Stealth, Storm in a Teacup and Flying Fish.
