The announcement was revealed in typically playful fashion, with the park unveiling a giant portrait of Bluey constructed from more than 11,000 tins of beans. The striking installation, measuring 20x15 metres and created over 18 hours, has appeared on the iconic front lawn near CBeebies Land, celebrating one of the most beloved moments from Bluey.
The artwork depicts Bluey in her 'Janet' granny disguise, complete with headscarf, referencing the fan-favourite 'Grannies' episode in which Bluey and Bingo embrace their mischievous alter egos Janet and Rita, complete with their memorable encounters with runaway beans.
A first coaster adventure for young families
Marketed as the world’s first Bluey-themed roller coaster, the new junior ride is designed to deliver gentle thrills for younger guests and first-time riders. The experience will see families join Bluey and Bingo as the Grannies on a whimsical journey through Bluey’s backyard, and feature mild dips, sweeping turns and colourful scenery packed with playful surprises.
Before boarding, guests can explore an interactive queue area themed to Bluey’s home, complete with photo opportunities and play elements designed to extend the storytelling beyond the track.
Bluey fans visiting the resort will also be able to meet Bluey and her family during a new live character experience inside Big Fun Show Time, or extend their stay with a themed overnight break at the CBeebies Land Hotel.
Promotional short break offer
Alongside the opening announcement, the resort also has a limited-time accommodation promotion. Guests who book a short break before 1 March will receive an Essential Merlin Annual Pass for each member of their party, granting access to more than 20 attractions.
Major family favourites are included such as Chessington World of Adventures Resort and LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, positioning the offer as a year-long extension of a resort stay.
