Standing at an impressive 32 feet tall, the portal has been designed to make visitors feel as though they’ve shrunk to the size of a LEGO minifigure. The structure, crafted with giant LEGO elements and detailed sculptures, contains more than 70,000 LEGO bricks and took the Merlin Magic Making creative team over 2,500 hours to bring to life.
Ramesh Ganeson, Vice President at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, described the project as a milestone in the park’s evolution:
“The unveiling of our new entrance portal marks a significant milestone in the continued investment into LEGOLAND Windsor over the coming years. It’s a bold new beginning area that transports our guests into the magic of LEGO from the very first step. This is more than just an entrance, it’s a promise of all the fun and imagination that lies beyond.”
The gateway is guarded by life-sized LEGO characters, including fan-favourite LEGO NINJAGO heroes and fire-breathing dragons, each built from an impressive 15,000 bricks. These iconic figures are not only guardians of the park but also perfect for that first or last family photo of the day.

The entrance portal is the latest in a series of updates at the resort. Earlier this year, the park unveiled its refreshed Miniland London display, now showcasing landmarks such as City Hall, The Cheese Grater, and The Gherkin, along with the beloved LEGOLAND Express train and the re-launched LEGO City Deep Sea Adventure attraction.
To mark the occasion, an exclusive miniature LEGOLAND Portal set has been released, available only at LEGOLAND Resorts, giving guests the chance to take home a piece of the new entrance experience.
With its towering design, intricate details, and playful LEGO charm, the new portal ensures that from the very first step inside, families are immersed in the creativity and adventure that defines LEGOLAND Windsor Resort.
