Rides & Attractions at Thorpe Park

Thorpe Park is made up of 10 distinct themed areas. Here is an overview of each, including the rides and attractions you will find within them.

Port & Basecamp

Every day out at Thorpe Park begins at Port & Basecamp. Here you will find essential guest services, places to eat and drink, and the main park shops. If you are looking to extend your stay, you can spend the night in the unique Thorpe Shark Cabins located right on the waterfront.

The Launchpad

New for 2026, The Launchpad is the vibrant social heart of the resort. Replacing the old Amity Beach area, this modern plaza is the perfect spot to refuel and recharge. It features a variety of new food outlets, shaded seating, and a live performance stage. From here, you can access the racing slides of Depth Charge. This area also serves as the gateway to the classic Flying Fish family coaster.

Fearless Valley

The newest and most imposing area of the park is home to Hyperia, the UK’s tallest and fastest roller coaster. Reaching heights of 236ft, this golden giant is the centrepiece of the resort.

Big Easy Boulevard

Immerse yourself in the carefree energy of New Orleans on the Big Easy Boulevard. Here, the atmosphere is all about letting the good times roll! Brace yourself for Detonator: Bombs Away, where you will drop 100ft toward an epic firework finale. You can also enjoy a classic family favourite on the Big Easy Bumpers dodgems.

Amity

The 1950s fishing village of Amity has been hit by a permanent tidal wave. Experience the splash for yourself on Tidal Wave, or spin out of control on the Storm Surge water rafts. Nearby, you will find Stealth, an Intamin Rocket Coaster that remains one of Europe's fastest-accelerating rides, alongside the spinning Dobble Tea Party.

The Dock Yard

Located in the centre of the park, The Dock Yard is home to two of the resort's most immersive indoor experiences. Brave the reimagined Ghost Train for a journey into the supernatural, or escape the undead on The Walking Dead: The Ride, a dark coaster that puts you right in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.

The Jungle

This exotic, volcanic landscape is home to the inverted Nemesis Inferno, which winds through a steaming tropical environment. You will also find Mr Monkey's Banana Ride, a traditional swinging ship perfect for younger thrill-seekers.

Lost City

Step inside an ancient, lost civilisation packed with intense rides. The mystical collection includes the 10-inversion Colossus roller coaster, the air-powered Rush giant swing, and the spinning sensations of Zodiac, Vortex, and Quantum.

Old Town

In this creepy industrial area at the back of the park, you will find a derelict warehouse housing SAW – The Ride, the world’s first horror-movie themed roller coaster featuring a terrifying beyond-vertical drop. Nearby, the mighty mechanical warrior Samurai provides a stomach-churning experience.

Swarm Island

Reached via a bridge near Stealth, Swarm Island is an apocalyptic zone devastated by an alien invasion. The centrepiece is The Swarm, the UK’s only wing coaster, which flies riders through a wreckage-strewn crash scene featuring a plane, a half-submerged fire engine, and a destroyed church.
