For the first time ever, Alton Towers Resort is bringing the pixels of the world's best-selling video game into the real world. Running for a limited time this summer, Minecraft: Meet the Mobs is a brand-new, park-wide interactive experience included entirely with standard theme park admission.

Whether your family consists of seasoned Survival Mode veterans or parents who only vaguely know what a Creeper is, this official partnership offers a rare chance to bridge the gap between digital creativity and real-world theme park adventure.

What to Expect at the Event

Alton Towers has integrated the event seamlessly into a day out at the resort, offering several interactive touchpoints across the theme park.

1. The Meet the Mobs Trail

Guests can pick up a special trail card and explore six uniquely designed, game-inspired scenes hidden throughout the park. The main objective is to track down the brand-new baby mobs making their debut appearance in the UK. As you spot them, you will collect stamps on your card. Successfully completing the entire trail unlocks an exclusive, downloadable Minecraft in-game digital reward that cannot be obtained anywhere else.

2. Character Meet and Greets

Get your cameras ready to meet some of the most iconic figures from the Minecraft universe up close. The event features full-scale official costume characters alongside beautifully crafted interactive puppets.

• Costume Characters: Look out for the legendary green Creeper, the village-protecting Iron Golem, and the rare Chicken Jockey.
• Interactive Puppets: Keep an eye out for adorable baby pandas, yellow axolotls, wolf pups, goats, pigs, and chicks.

3. The Minecraft Hub

Acting as the centrepiece of the event, the dedicated Minecraft Hub is packed with themed family activities and experiences. It also serves as the prime location to pick up exclusive, limited-edition event merchandise and fuel up on game-themed snacks, including TNT exploding popcorn and Minecraft ice lollies.

Theme Parks UK Tip: Because this event runs during the peak summer holiday season, the trail and character meet-and-greet locations will be busiest on weekends. We recommend arriving early and completing the trail cards during the morning hours before heading over to the major rollercoasters.
