Turbulence thrill ride new at Fantasy Island in 2020

Fantasy Island has announced a new extreme thrill ride to celebrate its 25th Anniversary, with Turbulence joining the lineup of attractions in 2020.

Turbulence is a Star Shape attraction from the German manufacturer Zierer. It was previously at Skyline Park in Germany as Sky Jet (2012 - 2019) and also at Blackpool Pleasure Beach as Bling (2004 - 2011) before then.

A giant arm rotates 360° vertically at terrifying speeds as the central disc also rotates, as does each pod that holds a row of riders. At the peak of 29.5m (97ft) there is a momentary pause halfway through, allowing just enough time to catch your breath before it completes each cycle.

Turbulence, an exhilarating, adrenaline-filled experience! Spinning and twisting you in every direction possible. Both powerful, thrilling and certainly not for the faint-hearted. You WILL feel utterly disorientated.

Fantasy Island is an indoor and outdoor theme park located on the coast near Skegness, with white-knuckle rides including roller coasters The Millennium and The Odyssey.
