Alton Towers Resort has revealed extended opening hours for the upcoming May Half Term holiday, titled Twilight at the Towers. Running from 22nd May until 31st May, the event will see the theme park extend its opening hours, allowing guests to enjoy the attractions until 8pm.
This new addition provides visitors with extra time to experience the resort’s collection of over 40 rides and attractions. As the day turns to dusk, guests will have the rare opportunity to soak up the evening atmosphere and take on some of the most iconic roller coasters in the UK after the sun begins to set. This includes the high-intensity experience of Nemesis Reborn, the record-breaking inversions of The Smiler, the steep drop of Oblivion, and the wooden thrills of Wicker Man.
It is important for visitors to note that the extended opening until 8pm does not apply to all areas of the park. CBeebies Land and The World of David Walliams are not included in the Twilight at the Towers event and will close at their standard scheduled times.
For those looking to turn their trip into a full holiday, the resort is highlighting its short break packages. Guests can choose to stay in one of five uniquely themed accommodations located just moments away from the park. These stays include access to live evening entertainment and a variety of on-site restaurants, making it easier for families and friends to make the most of the May Half Term break.
