Crealy Launches New Inverting Family Thrill Ride Rotor

Crealy Theme Park & Resort in Devon has opened its highly anticipated new family thrill attraction, Rotor, to the public today, 31 July 2026.

Billed as the South West's very first inverted ride, Rotor brings a new level of adrenaline to the popular Devon resort. Manufactured by Zamperla as an 'Air Race' attraction, the new ride features a dynamic experience that rotates at high speed, spins horizontally, and flips passengers through full 360-degree loops.

The launch of Rotor marks a major investment for Crealy, expanding its lineup of outdoor attractions and offering older children and adults a more intense family thrill experience, just in time for the peak summer holiday season.

Ahead of today's official public opening, the resort hosted a special preview on 20 July, as Lawrence Roots, founder of the UK Theme Park Awards, became one of the first to experience the ride, kicking off a 15-day tour of 37 theme parks nominated in 2026.

"It was a pleasure to welcome Lawrence to Crealy as he began his tour. We were delighted to give him the opportunity to experience Rotor ahead of its official opening later this month. With both Rotor and Pirates’ Plummet nominated for Best New Attraction, it is an incredibly exciting year for Crealy. We are also incredibly proud of all our other nominations, which recognise the hard work and dedication of our entire team."

- Josh Haywood, Managing Director, Crealy Theme Park & Resort

"It was fabulous to kick off the tour at Crealy and I'd like to thank their staff for such a warm welcome. It was amazing to get to help test their new ride Rotor ahead of its opening later in July. Rotor & Pirates' Plummet are both up for the Best New Attraction award."

Guests visiting Crealy this summer can now experience Rotor firsthand alongside the park's wide range of rides and entertainment. Further information and ticket bookings are available via the Crealy website.
