Flamingo Land planning new 10-Inversion Roller Coaster in 2020

Flamingo Land in Yorkshire has applied for planning permission to open a new 10-Inversion Roller Coaster in 2020.

The 34 m tall ride, named Inversion, would feature 1 vertical loop, 1 cobra roll, 2 corkscrews and 5 heartline rolls. It would have silver track and black supports.

It is to be located next to the existing Velocity launched roller coaster, on the site previously occupied by the Corkscrew roller coaster.

The 10-Inversion Roller Coaster by Intamin features a track length of 875 m, maximum speed of 85 km/h, and can accommodate 28 riders per train.

It is the second generation of the original model (which operates at Thorpe Park as Colossus) and elsewhere in Europe this new version already exists at Cinecittà World as Altair.

There is speculation that the roller coaster is a model manufactured in 2011 for the Hopi Hari amusement park in Brasil which was never constructed.
