Halloween Spooktacular Returns to Paultons Park for 2026

Paultons Park has announced the return of its annual Halloween Spooktacular, promising a mix of spooky thrills, family entertainment and brand-new experiences for the 2026 autumn season.

Running from Friday 9 October to Monday 2 November, the Hampshire attraction will transform with seasonal decorations and pumpkin displays across the grounds.

This year's event also features Valgard: Realm of the Vikings, the park's brand-new themed land for 2026. Younger visitors can take part in an interactive challenge named The Defenders of Valgard, designed to test courage, wisdom and unity through various activities. On selected late opening dates, the area will also play host to a fire performance by Viking leader Heartfire Keeper, accompanied by an epic soundtrack.

Entertainment returns across the park with the Spirit Squad Ghoul School, where children can learn ghost-busting moves and routines. Families can also catch The Great Halloween Mystery show, following Pickles the Pumpkin and the Spirit Squad as they work to solve a puzzle.

Thrill-seekers can experience Drakon, the park's first inverting rollercoaster featuring a beyond-vertical drop and high-speed twists. For the younger guests, the Fairy Garden offers a chance to spot mythical creatures within the secret garden area, alongside the Ghostly Manor dark ride, where visitors compete to test their ghost-busting skills inside Dr Kinley’s haunted house.

James Mancey, deputy managing director at Paultons Park, said:

"2026 has been one of our biggest years ever with the opening of Valgard: Realm of the Vikings! Our team works incredibly hard to create the most immersive and family-friendly Halloween fun, from pumpkins all over the park to spooky decorations. This year, with a whole new world to explore, Halloween at Paultons Park is set to be the most Spooktacular yet!"

The park will offer late-night openings until 7:30pm on selected dates in October, giving visitors the opportunity to ride coasters after dark:

  • Saturday 17th October
  • Friday 23rd October
  • Saturday 24th October
  • Tuesday 27th October
  • Wednesday 28th October
  • Thursday 29th October

Guests looking to extend their visit can book an official short break, which includes a second day at the park for free. Short breaks start from £53 per person per night, offering access to all five themed lands and over 70 rides and attractions.
