It is time to back your favourite days out. Public voting for the UK Theme Park Awards 2026 is officially underway, with the launch of a massive national tour to encourage theme park fans to cast their votes.
The campaign got off to a flying start at Devon's Crealy Theme Park & Resort as Lawrence Roots, founder of the Theme Park Network, met with enthusiastic park staff to launch a mammoth road trip across the country. Roots is travelling with a giant 'Vote Now' placard, and is aiming to set a world record by visiting a staggering 37 nominated theme parks in just 15 days.
The Search For The Nation's Favourite Attractions
The tour will be stopping off at a huge variety of destinations over the next few weeks, celebrating the spots that create unforgettable memories for millions of visitors. Major parks on the itinerary include Paultons Park, Alton Towers Resort, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures Resort, LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, Drayton Manor Resort, and Blackpool's Pleasure Beach Resort, along with 30 other regional theme parks.
Reflecting on the launch at Crealy, Lawrence said:
"It was fabulous to kick off the tour at Crealy and I'd like to thank their staff for such a warm welcome. It was amazing to get to help test their new ride Rotor ahead of its opening later in July. Rotor and Pirates' Plummet are both up for the Best New Attraction award."
Cast Your Votes Before The Deadline
Organised by Theme Parks UK, these annual awards celebrate operational excellence and consumer appeal across the entire sector. Because these awards are all about the guest experience, the public vote makes up a crucial 50% of the final scores, balanced with insights from a panel of 11 expert judges.
The public voting window will close on Friday, 28th August 2026. Following the conclusion of the voting, the winners will be announced at a live awards ceremony hosted by Blackpool's Pleasure Beach Resort on 10th September 2026.
