LEGOLAND Windsor Resort has revealed that LEGO Pokémon will be the headline attraction for the brand-new Play Zone at this year's LEGO Festival.
The limited-time interactive experience will run from 20 July to 31 August 2026, offering theme park visitors an exclusive first look at the upcoming LEGO Pokémon SMART Play range before it officially goes on sale in August.
Interactive Training, Building, and Battles
The new LEGO Pokémon Play Zone is designed to bring the world of Pokémon Trainers into reality. Aspiring trainers of all ages will be able to embark on a hands-on journey where they can bond with, nurture, and train a selection of five different Pokémon, culminating in brick-built battles.
The zone utilises the screen-free LEGO SMART Play system, which focuses on dynamic and social physical interaction. Within the experience, visitors will explore several distinct areas:
- The Nurture Area: Trainers can build a custom snack for their Pokémon and add a physical SMART tag to see how the Pokémon reacts to their creation.
- The Trainer Centre: Families can learn the core mechanics of nurturing, training, and battling, watching their favourite characters come to life directly in their hands.
- Creative Building: Guests will have the opportunity to construct and display their own LEGO Poké Balls.
- Photo Opportunities: A giant, life-sized LEGO Pikachu model will be on display throughout the festival for family photos.

Part of a Wider Summer Festival
The new LEGO Pokémon Play Zone is one of five distinct interactive areas anchoring the LEGO Festival this summer. The full line-up also includes the new LEGO F1 Thrill Zone, alongside the returning Music, Creative, and Chill Out Zones.
Access to the festival, including the LEGO Pokémon experience, is included within the standard theme park admission ticket.
The festival is set to roll out globally across multiple locations, including LEGOLAND California, LEGOLAND Florida, LEGOLAND New York, and LEGOLAND Deutschland.
