Chessington World of Adventures Resort has unleashed its latest multi-million pound investment: the new World of PAW Patrol.
We were invited to an exclusive VIP preview event on Saturday, 2 May 2026, to explore the UK’s first and only land dedicated to the global preschool phenomenon before it opened to the public on 3 May.
The new 1.4-acre land represents a £15 million investment, replacing the former Mexicana and Children’s Zoo areas. Stepping into the World of PAW Patrol, the transformation is immediate. The new area is exceptionally bright and colourful, faithfully recreating both the look and feel of Adventure Bay. For young fans of the Spin Master series from Nick Jr. and Paramount+, the recognition factor is instant, with the iconic Lookout Tower serving as a central focal point.
A Star-Studded Rescue Mission
The preview event welcomed a host of famous faces to experience the new attractions first-hand. Celebrity Traitors stars Joe Marler and Nick Mohammed proved they have remained "faithful" friends as they hopped aboard Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure, while Olympian Greg Rutherford and his family braved the twists of Chase’s Mountain Mission before taking to the skies on Skye’s Helicopter Heroes. Also in attendance were The One Show’s Alex Jones and Made in Chelsea’s Hugo Taylor, all getting an exclusive first look at the four new rides that anchor the land.
The Attractions
Each of the four rides is themed around a core member of the PAW Patrol pack, offering a variety of fun experiences for little patrollers:
- Chase’s Mountain Mission: This family junior coaster is the 'my first coaster' of the land. It features a rescue mission to save Mayor Goodway and Chickaletta from a snowy peak, and provides just enough excitement for younger guests without being overawing.
- Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure: The UK’s first ‘Drifter’ ride was a personal highlight. The ride-vehicles are rider-controlled, and spin and glide as if navigating the waters between Adventure Bay and Seal Island. A really fun ride with a unique drifting sensation that fits the water-rescue theme perfectly.
- Skye’s Helicopter Heroes: For those who prefer a bird's-eye view, this aerial ride allows guests to soar in Skye’s iconic helicopter. It offers fantastic panoramic views of the vibrant new land.
- Marshall’s Firetruck Rescue: A classic 'magic carpet' ride where guests board a bright red firetruck. It’s a great experience for toddlers who want to feel like they are part of the action.
Beyond the rides, Rubble & Rocky's Play Zone provides a much-needed space for children to burn off energy. It’s split into Rubble's construction-themed area and Rocky's Recycle Yard.
Meet the Pups
No visit to Adventure Bay would be complete without meeting the heroes themselves. During the preview, we had the chance to meet Chase, Marshall, Skye, and Rubble. The meet-and-greet sessions all take place at the Town Hall, and the character costumes are high-quality and very expressive, essential for those all-important photos.
Snacks and Retail
The land is supported by a themed food and beverage outlet, Rescue Refreshments, ensuring the immersive experience continues with snacks such as sweet and savoury crepes, sandwiches, and doughnuts. The retail offering is equally robust, featuring a wide array of PAW Patrol merchandise, including some items exclusive to the resort.
For families looking for the ultimate experience, the resort has also introduced new PAW Patrol-themed hotel rooms. These are the first of their kind in the UK, sleeping up to five people and featuring PAW Patroller beds for the children.
Our Final Thoughts
The World of PAW Patrol is a significant and well-executed addition to Chessington’s lineup. By focusing on a powerhouse brand and delivering a highly themed, immersive environment, the park has created a destination that will undoubtedly be a massive hit with its target audience.
The entire area feels fresh, the rides are perfectly pitched for the pre-school and primary age groups, and the attention to detail in Adventure Bay is impressive. It is a PAWS-itive step forward for the resort’s 2026 season.
