Crealy Theme Park & Resort Unveils Two New Family Thrill Rides for 2026

Crealy Theme Park & Resort has confirmed a multi-million-pound investment in two new family thrill rides set to open during the 2026 season, marking what the Devon attraction describes as its “biggest year yet”.

The announcement, made on 19 January 2026, will see the South West’s tallest ride and the region’s first inverting ride debut at the park, significantly expanding Crealy’s appeal to older children, teenagers and adults while retaining its strong family focus.

The investment follows a highly successful 2025 season for the South West resort, during which Crealy was recognised at the UK Theme Park Awards with two Gold awards in the Small classification: Best Theme Park for Toddlers and Best Theme Park for Families. The national recognition underlines Crealy’s reputation as a leading family destination and provides the platform for the next phase of the park’s long-term development strategy.

According to Crealy, the new attractions are a direct response to extensive guest feedback, with visitors expressing a desire for “bigger, more thrilling attractions” alongside the park’s established toddler and family offering.

Pirates’ Plummet to become the South West’s tallest ride

The first of the two new additions, Pirates’ Plummet, is scheduled to open in Spring 2026. The new attraction will become the South West’s tallest ride and introduce a dramatic new skyline feature to the park.

Pirates’ Plummet is a drop tower that previously operated as Magma at Paultons Park. Now relocated to Devon, the ride is being reimagined with new theming to deliver a high-impact free-fall experience “unlike anything currently available in the county”. Crealy says that the attraction is designed to appeal particularly to older children, teenagers and adults seeking a more intense thrill.

The attraction is a Drop 'N Twist drop model from the Italian manufacturer SBF Visa.

Rotor to bring the region’s first inverted ride

Later in the season, Rotor will open in Summer 2026. The new ride will be Crealy’s first ever inverted attraction and the only inverting ride of its kind in the South West.

Described as a high-energy experience that will spin and flip riders, Rotor represents a major milestone in the park’s evolution as it continues to broaden its ride portfolio and strengthen its appeal to thrill-seekers.

Rotor is an Air Race ride from the Italian manufacturer Zamperla.

A landmark year ahead

Together, the two new rides reflect Crealy’s wider vision to strengthen its connection with the local community, encourage repeat visits from regional audiences, and extend its offer out to older children, while continuing to cater for multi-generational days out.

With the two headline attractions confirmed, recent national awards success, and further announcements still to come, 2026 is shaping up to be a landmark year for Crealy Theme Park & Resort.
