2 new attractions at Blackgang Chine in 2022

Blackgang Chine on the Isle of Wight has announced that it will be opening new attractions at the 'Land of Imagination' in 2022.

The team at Blackgang Chine have been extremely busy behind the scenes, and thrill-seekers will be excited to hear that there will be 2 new rides to enjoy this year.

Shipwrecked

Shipwrecked is a new flying-carpet style ride.

‘The sea is a cruel mistress... so will you brave the cascading tide to save your pirate crew, or abandon ship as you’re thrown up and over the waves?’

Height restrictions: 90cm to ride with an adult, 1.2m to ride alone.

Evolution

Evolution is a new drop-tower ride standing 400ft above sea level.

‘An archaeological dig, has revealed some interesting activity above the dinosaur enclosures in Restricted Area 5. Help the professor unearth the mystery with a ride on Evolution!’

Height restrictions: 1.1m to ride with an adult, 1.4m to ride alone.

As well as these new rides, visitors will experience a brand new underground tunnel, new and improved Waterforce high speed waterslides, and the last chance to ride the Cliffhanger roller coaster!

All the old favourites will also be there for visitors to enjoy including the Underwater Kingdom, Pirate Cove, Cowboy Town and of course the famous Dodos!

Dominic Wray, Park Manager at Blackgang Chine:

“After a challenging couple of years, we’ve had to put a lot of creative ideas on hold, but now we’re ready to let loose. We’ve got brand-new rides, dinosaurs, an underground tunnel, and a full calendar of events. The team have been working really hard, and we can’t wait to show everyone.”

Blackgang Chine reopens on Saturday 19th March 2022.
