Plans have been submitted for a major new attraction at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, signalling the arrival of a high-profile roller coaster in the park’s LEGO NINJAGO World.
The proposed ride appears to be a Family Spinning Coaster model, manufactured by Mack Rides. Based on the details within the planning documents, the attraction looks to be a direct clone of the current Masters of Spinjitzu coaster that debuted at LEGOLAND South Korea in 2025.
A New Chapter for NINJAGO World
If approved, the roller coaster will be situated on a portion of the site formerly occupied by the Viking River Splash rapids. This location allows for a significant expansion of the existing LEGO NINJAGO World, further immersing guests in the popular universe of Lloyd, Kai, and the rest of the ninja team.
The South Korean version of the ride represented a £12 million (KRW 20 billion) investment, and the Windsor counterpart is expected to follow its impressive specifications. The new attraction is billed as a high-energy experience where younger guests can train to become heroes.
Ride Specifications and Experience
The Masters of Spinjitzu coaster offers a thrill level that bridges the gap between junior coasters and more intense attractions. Key features of the proposed ride include:
- Track Length: A 346-metre circuit.
- Top Speed: Reaching up to 57 km/h.
- Rotating Seats: The 360-degree rotating cars provide a different experience on every circuit, reacting to the weight distribution of the riders.
- Immersive Storytelling: The new ride is designed to feel immersive, with guests embarking on a mission to save the world alongside their favourite characters.
Enhancing the World of NINJAGO
The addition of a Mack Rides spinning coaster would be a significant boost for LEGOLAND Windsor. While the park already features several popular coasters, such as The Dragon and Minifigure Speedway, this new addition would provide another high-capacity experience.
The spinning element adds a layer of repeatability and excitement that is perfectly suited for the core family demographic. By expanding the NINJAGO zone, the park continues its tradition of creating cohesive, highly themed lands that offer more than just rides, but a full narrative experience.
The planning application is currently under review, and fans of the park will be watching closely to see when construction might commence on what promises to be one of the most exciting additions to the park.
