New Pirate Ship The Kraken Set to Storm Botton's Pleasure Beach in Skegness

Skegness Pleasure Beach has announced a major new attraction for Summer 2026, The Kraken, a mighty pirate ship ride that promises to be a standout addition to the park.

Representing one of the park’s largest investments to date, the new arrival continues a long-standing tradition of combining modern thrills with classic fairground heritage.


A High-Seas Adventure on the East Coast

The Kraken is designed to appeal to both adventurous families and thrill-seekers. Manufactured in Turkey by the specialists atΒ Guven Lunapark, the exciting ride utilises a park model construction to deliver a smooth yet exhilarating experience.

The attraction features an impressive 32-seat capacity, letting large groups experience the voyage together. When in motion, the ride swings passengers through powerful pendulum arcs, generating multiple moments of weightlessness alongside sweeping views across the Skegness seafront.

  • The Build: Expertly manufactured by Guven Lunapark in Turkey as a dedicated 'park model' Pirate Ship.
  • The Dimensions: Features a structural height of 13.5 metres and a footprint width of 8 metres.
  • The Pendulum Motion: Swings passengers to an exhilarating dynamic height of approximately 24 metres (79 feet).
  • Capacity and Weight: Built to accommodate 32 riders per cycle on a massive 16-tonne structure.
  • Power and Illumination: Driven by a 24 kW engine and outfitted with a dazzling 15 kW lighting package.

By day, The Kraken offers a towering presence on the park's skyline. As evening falls, the attraction is set to transform into a vibrant visual centrepiece for the Skegness seafront, illuminated by its brilliant 15 kW lighting package.

The Kraken is scheduled to launch during Summer 2026, cementing Skegness Pleasure Beach as a brilliant destination for traditional seaside fun and modern amusements.
