Thorpe Park Announces Return Of Lates For May Bank Holiday

Thorpe Park has confirmed that its popular Lates event will return this May Bank Holiday, offering guests the opportunity to experience the resort’s world-class attractions after dark.

The extended opening hours are scheduled to take place over the May Bank Holiday weekend, running from 23 to 25 May 2026.

During this three-day period, the theme park will remain open until 9pm, allowing guests to enjoy four extra hours of thrills beyond the standard closing time.

Sunset Rides And Evening Atmosphere

The event is designed to give guests a different perspective on the park's famous skyline. Highlights include the chance to ride major rollercoasters such as Hyperia, Stealth, and The Swarm during the golden hour and into the evening.

In addition to the extended ride access, various food and drink outlets across the resort will remain open late to provide dinner and refreshments for those staying for the evening session.

Short Break Packages

For those looking to extend their visit, the resort is offering themed short breaks at the on-site Thorpe Shark Cabins.

These overnight packages include two days of theme park entry, breakfast, and access to the extended hours on the event dates.

Guests staying at the resort during Thorpe Park Lates also benefit from additional perks, including free parking and a second day of Fastrack access for the first or last hour of the day.

Tickets And Entry

Access to the Lates event is included with standard theme park entry for the scheduled dates. Advance day tickets are currently available from £39 when booked online.

As these dates coincide with the start of the May Half Term holidays, the park recommends pre-booking to guarantee entry, as the bank holiday weekend is expected to be a popular time for visitors.
