Enchanted Village Opens

Britain’s most iconic theme park has opened the doors of its new Enchanted Village. The new accommodation is themed around a quirky village hideaway and located in woodland next to the Alton Towers Hotel. The Enchanted Village offers a distinctive short break for guests to stay in woodland lodges and luxury treehouses.

Set in amongst the woodland, the luxury treehouses sleep groups of 8 and all have four separate bedrooms with their own plasma TV. Each treehouse has its own unique style, with luxury furnishings, self-catering facilities and a relaxing lounge area with 50” plasma TV and games console. The outdoor decking area, with private hot tub offers a great place to unwind, with beautiful views over the enchanting woodland.

The fantastical woodland lodges provide perfect family accommodation sleeping 5 people. Guests can relax on their outdoor decking area, children can have fun in the quirky play areas around the village and can make use of the free car parking and easy access to the theme park and the rest of the resort.

Also launching in 2015 as part of the new Enchanted Village is the Enchanted Forest Tree Top Quest. This fantastical high ropes course set within the woodland surrounding the Enchanted Village features two courses – a high ropes and low ropes that families can enjoy together.

Guests can swing from the trees as they navigate their way through the forest, starting from the quirky turret tower. They must then negotiate transverse nets, swing tyres and stepping stones before hurtling back down to earth the 85m zipwire. Those with a head for heights can tackle the series of obstacles and even zipwire through an enclosed tunnel.

At the end of the day, guests can relax and unwind in The Crooked Spoon restaurant – new to the Enchanted Village - and savour the delights of the fantastically themed menu.
