What's New at Chessington
A brand new show has replaced Madagascar Live! Prepare to Party at Chessington World of Adventures in 2015. Since opening in 2012 families have been able to join characters Alex, King Julien, Gloria, Mort and The Penguins as they sing and dance their way through a popular live show, as well as regular Meet & Greets throughout each day.
So after three successful seasons Chessington World of Adventures says goodbye to Madagascar Live! Prepare to Party and now welcomes in a brand new show for 2015, Penguins of Madagascar Live! Operation Cheezy Dibbles. The stage area is located next to the African Trading Co. shop and the Coffee Hut café in the Africa area of the park.
There is also a newly themed Penguins of Madagascar ride, Treetop Hoppers, previously the Jungle Bouncers, plus the park's very own penguins have been joined by some new friends and have a whole new home to enjoy featuring a special walk-through enclosure and an all new viewing and seating area.
A brand new ride experience for 2014 set within Scorpion Valley, a land of sweeping sands and gold mines. Adventurers must board the old train of the Scorpion Express as it’s the only way to cross the sands, ruins of the mines, and the abandoned town. Watch out for surprises at every turn though, as with unstable mines guarded by the Scorpion anything could happen, including exciting fire and water effects! Scorpion Valley is located in the Mexicana area and the Scorpion Express replaced the Runaway Train.
Chessington World of Adventures has re-developed the former Monkey & Bird Garden as AMAZU Treetop Adventure for 2014, complete with new enclosures, walkthrough attractions, jungle theming and play areas. It is located next to the new Chessington Azteca Hotel and features Spider Monkey, Tamarins, Squirrel Monkey, Marmosets, Capybara and Macaw.
