New for 2014: Cbeebies Land

New for 2014: Cbeebies Land

Alton Towers have launched the world’s first ever CBeebies Land for 2014, bringing some of the most-loved children’s characters to Britain’s number one theme park.

The new land is home to a unique range of themed rides, attractions and live entertainment and is a completely interactive world for children and young families to enjoy.

CBeebies Land includes rides, immersive play areas, live experiences, character appearances and is a safe and fun environment for pre-schoolers to play and learn. CBeebies Land has created experiences that inspire children with bright ideas, provide hands-on learning experiences, encourage pre-schoolers to explore and understand more about themselves and put a smile on the face of everyone who visits.

Postman Pat's Parcel Post - Postman Pat’s parcels have been mixed up! Report to the Sorting Office to receive your instructions and become part of Postman Pat’s Special Delivery Service. Through problem solving and interaction the attraction lets children take control of Postman Pat’s van on his delivery route through Greendale, picking the right parcels to deliver to the village’s favourite residents as they drive along.

The In The Night Garden Magical Boat Ride drifts you and your child into the enchanted dreamworld. From on board the colourful boat enjoy special family moments as you discover Iggle Piggle, Makka Pakka and Upsy Daisy on a real woodland Night Garden. Watch and listen to the sights and sounds of a picture book that has come alive.

For hands on fun, venture down the garden path to Mr. Bloom's Allotment. Help friends of Mr. Bloom tend to the plants and feed compo, before heading inside the magical shed to meet the Veggies.

The Get Set Go Tree Top Adventure ride is a great place for families to begin their day at CBeebies Land. Offering a view of the whole area and encouraging creative and imaginative play, wake up the sleeping bugs in the CBeebies House with plenty of fun to be had on this ride.

The Something Special Sensory Garden is waiting to be explored but first you have to help Mr. Tumble send his spotty bag. Families will follow the Tumble trail and look inside Mr. Tumble's spotty bag to find what three special things to look for. Just like on the TV show, learn how to sign the words in this sensory discovery trail, an attraction that can be enjoyed by everyone.

Justin’s House Pie-O-Matic Factory is a madcap attraction allowing indoor active play where life really is a bowl of cherries. Test out Robert’s inventions as you help Justin, Robert and Little Monster make the best custard pies ever. But watch out Mums and Dads there’s only one rule; there are no rules!

Nina's Science Lab brings together Nina’s well-loved Neurons and shows how they control your 5 senses. Children will be able to learn about their amazing bodies and what they do in this hands-on scientific attraction.

The Big Fun Show Time pavilion will host live experiences and entertainment including shows from Mike the Knight, The ZingZillas and Nina & The Neurons.

Also in Cbeebies Land:

  • Charlie & Lola’s Moonsquirters and Greendrops
  • The Numtums Number-Go-Round
  • Tree Fu Tom Training Camp
  • CBeebies Photo Studio

The area will be updated frequently with new content, while a seasonal programme of events will run alongside the main attractions ensuring that no two visits to CBeebies Land will be the same.

Cbeebies Land replaced Old MacDonald's Farmyard for 2014. Previous rides and attractions including the Tractor Ride, Doodle Doo Derby roundabout, River Bank Eye Spy boat ride and Berry Bish Bash playhouse have been re-themed, with new features and characters being added. The Dung Heap playground has received some changes, with the large climbing frame replaced by lower level play equipment. A new Village Green has been created on the site of the former Big Top tent, the new space features artificial turf, a canopy and tents, performance areas, an activity area, festival flags and a toilet block.

CBeebies Land opened at Alton Towers on 24th May 2014.
