The Alton Towers Dungeon reopens on 18th July

The Alton Towers Dungeon will be reopening on Saturday 18th July with some changes to the experience to keep guests safe.

Alton Towers says that they have fully reviewed the experience, making changes to the way the storytellers interact with guests. They have put in place a wide range of new safety measures that adhere to the Local Health Authority and Government guidelines, ensuring every guest can have a great experience whilst observing social distancing guidelines.

Measures include:

  • Pre-book your tickets - There is reduced daily ticket capacity at The Alton Towers Dungeon to allow for social distancing throughout. Tickets should be purchased through the website or the Alton Towers app for contactless entry.
  • Social distancing - New techniques and guest interactions, all from a respectable 2 metre distance.
  • Face masks - All visitors must bring and wear a suitable face mask throughout their time in the Dungeon. Dungeon storytellers will wear new historically themed face coverings.
  • Signage - New routes and signage throughout for guests to follow.
  • Enhanced cleaning, hygiene stations and hand sanitiser at key locations for guests to use throughout.
