For the 2020 season, beginning on 21st March, the Alton Towers Resort will roll out its biggest ever programme of events:
- The opening of Gangsta Granny: The Ride on 21st March. The new 4D ride experience will see guests join the main characters as they attempt the greatest heist in the history of the world: to steal the Crown Jewels.
- The park will celebrate 40 years since the opening of the Corkscrew roller coaster on 4th April with unique opportunities and offers.
- Families are invited to join the CBeebies Land Birthday Party on 8th-10th May, including an array of fun-packed activities and a unique, special live Cbeebies Land performance.
- Join Ben and Granny for a Half Term Heist event during May Half Term - a Gangsta Granny themed week of activities, challenges and competitions for all the family.
- A brand new Oktoberfest event arrives at Alton Towers this Autumn - offering new themed entertainment, refreshments and late-night rides on selected weekends in September and October.
- Scarefest returns for Halloween with award-winning mazes, family entertainment, rides in the dark and an opportunity to experience the park’s historic gardens in a whole new light (selected dates in October).
- Marvel at the park’s Fireworks Spectacular displays on 6th-8th November, celebrating 40 years of thrill-seeking with three nights of spectacular sights, wonderful whizz-bangs and serious sparkles.
- Visit for a Santa’s Sleepover in December - it's the most magical family Christmas escape!
- The season draws to a close in style with a fairytale-inspired New Year’s Eve Ball.
