Amazon land including new roller coaster planned at Chessington World of Adventures

Chessington World of Adventures Resort has launched a new public consultation on plans for a new Amazon themed land.

The emerging proposal for a new Amazon themed land includes a new family roller coaster – the first at Chessington for 17 years - and two new children’s rides. This investment is critical to the Resort’s recovery from the impacts to the business from the COVID-19 pandemic. The development would occupy the field adjacent to Land of the Dragons.

The new Amazon themed land is proposed to include:

  • A new roller coaster – guests will be propelled on a train through banks and turns before coming to a dead end on the track adjacent to a themed structure on the southern part of the site. The train will then be propelled along the same route back to the station located on the north east part of the site.
  • Two children’s rides – the exact details of the proposed children’s rides are to be confirmed but they will comprise two low-level rides similar in character to Seastorm and Jungle Bus currently at the park.
  • New landscaping - to enhance the surrounding environment.
