Photos of Lost Kingdom at Paultons Park

Travel back in time for a Jurassic family adventure at Paultons Park in 2016, as the Lost Kingdom arrives featuring two new roller coasters and much more.

Opening 17th May 2016, step into the Lost Kingdom, a prehistoric world where dinosaurs still roam the earth. This new land will join the other themed areas Peppa Pig World and Critter Creek as the theme park continues to develop.

ThemeParks-UK were invited to the park for a behind-the-scenes tour of the new land and to check out the construction so far, and as you can see things are really taking shape now.

In 2015 the park said farewell to Astroglide, the Rabbit Ride, Kiddie's Play Village and Land of the Dinosaurs as it starts work on another new land, the Lost Kingdom, coming in 2016. The four acre area will include Velociraptor (a Vekoma Family Boomerang Coaster) and Flight of the Pterosaur (a Vekoma Suspended Family Coaster) plus much more.

The Lost Kingdom at Paultons Park will include six dinosaur themed family rides, animatronic dinosaurs, a dinosaur themed play area and new places to eat and drink.

Paultons Park has invested between £8-9 million in the Lost Kingdom area with first discussions about the new land 5 years ago and 2 years ago plans were put together.

  • Velociraptor - A 200m dinosaur themed family roller coaster, reaching speeds of up to 40mph and a height of 20m, ride through twists and turns above the ground and through tunnels.
  • Flight of the Pterosaur - A unique 395m suspended roller coaster that will swoop around the Lost Kingdom, the dinosaur themed ride will reach speeds of up to 55mph.
