Father Christmas arrives at LEGOLAND Windsor for 2020

LEGOLAND Windsor will reopen for Christmas on Friday 4th December, bursting at the seams with holiday spirit to give families some much-needed festive fun.

This year, Father Christmas will be flying in to wish guests a very merry Christmas and will be boarding his sleigh to spread some yuletide joy throughout the park. Catch him and his elves before they head back to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.

Over in Heartlake City, there is a brand-new Holiday Harbour Lights Show. Expect music, dancing and a special appearance from Father Christmas himself during this 15-minute display, guaranteed to leave guests in the Christmas spirit.

Dust off the vocal cords and join the LEGO Friends for a spot of carol singing. Andrea, Mia, Olivia, Emma and Stephanie will be singing all your festive favourites including Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

Oh Yes It Is going ahead at the DUPLO Valley Theatre where families will be able to sit down for a socially distanced pantomime* with a twist, as puppets re-enact the classic stories of Cinderella and Elves and the Shoemaker.

From twinkling lights to a sprinkling of snow, the whole Resort has been transformed into a winter wonderland. Don’t miss selfies with giant LEGO models including Santa and, new for 2020, a spectacular dragon shaped Christmas tree made from 150,000 LEGO bricks. There is also a brand-new Toy Soldier character for children to meet, along with family-favourite Ollie the Dragon who has donned his Christmas Day best.

Not forgetting all the awesome rides and attractions available to enjoy – with more included this year than ever before. Navigate the roundabouts at the iconic LEGO City Driving School, explore the depths of Deep Sea Adventure and don’t miss all the DUPLO favourites including DUPLO Dino Coaster, DUPLO Express and DUPLO Valley Airport.

The reopening of LEGOLAND Windsor is in line with the latest Government guidance and follows confirmation that Windsor and Maidenhead will be in Tier Two from Wednesday 2nd December. The extensive hygiene and safety measures that were introduced in the summer will continue for Christmas, including temperature checks on arrival, enhanced cleaning, one-way systems, and social distancing markers in ride queues, shops, restaurants and more.

Karen Glassey, Operations Director at LEGOLAND Windsor, said:

“This year we’re pulling out all the stops to make Christmas extra special for families. We’ve been working closely with Father Christmas and his elves and they are looking forward to spreading some festive cheer and saying hello to guests from a safe distance on their new sleigh. Everyone’s health and safety remains our top priority as we prepare to reopen for Christmas and we ask all guests to visit our website before they visit so that they know what to expect and to play their part by observing Government advice and our own measures at all times.”

Day tickets start from £35 per person, kids under 90cm go free. All tickets booked for before 23 December will receive a free ticket to return in 2021**.

Families can extend the festive fun and stay the night at one of LEGOLAND Windsor’s LEGO-themed hotels with prices starting from £79 per person. All guests staying before Christmas will receive a personalised letter and LEGO gift from Santa.
