New Racing Circuit at Flamingo Land

This summer at Flamingo Land race to pole position on new 300 metre self-drive kart racing circuit Flamingo 1.

The new family attraction will be opening at the theme park resort in Yorkshire at the end of July.

You will be able to experience the thrills of self-drive kart racing on a 300 metre circuit. Featuring a figure-of-eight format, you and your fellow competitors will enjoy side-by-side action over three individual lanes.

The majority of the circuit is outdoors, but it will also pass through The Hub, a new entertainment complex, allowing spectators to watch from a dedicated viewing area.

The two-storey entertainment complex opened at Easter and features the Upper Deck fish and chip restaurant with adjacent HMS Bouncy soft play area and takeaway counter. This leads onto an outdoor balcony where you can enjoy your refreshments whilst admiring the view of roller coasters and the Splosh water area.

The Fuel Stop cafe and Cool Fuel ices are located on the ground floor, along with an indoor seating area.

The Hub can also be accessed via the Monorail, which links directly to the Zoo. In summer, this will be upgraded with a new electric monorail where the carriages will benefit from air-conditioning and video screens.

Meanwhile, another headline act for Flamingo Land’s next Party in the Park concert on 1st July has just been announced, with a record crowd expected to attend.

Stooshe, an all female chart topping trio, will join 2016 X Factor winner Matt Terry on stage at Riverside One, the outdoor concert area at Flamingo Land.

Sarah Mills, Director of Marketing Flamingo Land, said:

“This will be our second Party in the Park this Season. The first concert was a great success and we look forward to creating a sensational atmosphere again as these two popular acts take to the stage on Saturday 1st July. Party in the Park is a great way to spend a summer’s evening and guests can buy a theme park ticket for the day which then gives them free access to the concert. Alternatively they can arrive at 5pm for an hour in the theme park followed by the concert for just £10 each. There is a wide variety of food and drink outlets around Riverside One so that guests can make it a social occasion.”

The concert starts at 6pm with a children’s Farewell Show followed by the Spice Pirates acrobatic troupe and a host of supporting acts before the 2 headline acts take to the stage. The event concludes at approximately 10pm. Tickets are on sale on the Flamingo Land website.
