Blackpool Pleasure Beach has announced that a new multi launch roller coaster from MACK Rides will be opening at the park in 2018.

The new ride will feature 2 inversions; an in-line twist and an immelmann. It will take just 161 seconds for the roller coaster to complete the 1,143 metres of track.

Pleasure Island, the family theme park in Cleethorpes, will be closing down at the end of the 2016 season.

The park opened in 1993 and was originally a subsidiary of Flamingo Land but the park became independent in 2010.

The UK’s original pleasure park, Dreamland Margate, once again transforms into a world of nightmares with the major scare festival, Screamland.

The multi-award winning Screamland will be back and more terrifying than ever! For the second year in a row, Dreamland will be transformed into Screamland, with fully immersive scare experiences throughout the park, as well as unlimited use of all your favourite rides.

It's never been a better time to visit Flamingo Land in Yorkshire, as the UK’s only combined theme park, zoo and holiday village introduces a swashbuckling new live show, exclusive animal encounters, improvements to the leisure complex and premium accommodation.

Flamingo Land has launched the The Pirates of Zanzibar, a spectacular performance on the Black Heart galleon stage. The live show tells tales of swashbuckling Tanzanian pirates’ adventures, and features acrobatic sword-fighting action and plenty of special effects. It takes places 3 times across the day - 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

With balmy summer evenings well and truly upon us, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is giving guests the chance to make the most of the glorious weather by opening the theme park late into the night.

On 30th July, 13th August, 27th August and 24th September all the rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach will be open until 10pm for some summer fun and late night riding action. This year, to celebrate Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s 120th anniversary, late night riding will be followed by a spectacular fireworks display at 10.15pm.

It's the end of an era as the iconic Bubbleworks ride at Chessington World of Adventures will be closing down on 6th September 2016.

The popular family ride has been running at the theme park for 26 years, enjoyed by 32 million people and completed more than 15 million circuits. Fans will get the chance to take a part in an auction to own a part of the attraction.

Following a long delay of two months, Derren Brown’s Ghost Train is now open at Thorpe Park.

Face your VertiGO on the new high rope adventure course at Drayton Manor, and with VertiGo Tots for younger adventurers there is something for all ages.

You don't have to be visiting the theme park to have a go on VertiGO and therefore the attraction is not included in theme park admission, but prices start at just £5 for VertiGO and £3 for VertiGO Tots.
