Thorpe Park News

Thorpe Park has announced The Year of The Walking Dead, a series of new unmissable events throughout the 2018 season from when the theme park re-opens on 23rd March.

An invasion of Walkers descended upon the Island during Fright Nights last year and we thought the battle against the dead was won… we were wrong.

This season, the apocalypse is nigh at Thorpe Park with a deadly calendar of unmissable events.

The Walking Dead: Living Nightmare could return as a permanent all season attraction at Thorpe Park in 2018.

At this stage it's purely speculation on our part, as nothing has been confirmed by the park, but we think that based on what is known there is a fairly good chance of this happening.

This year The Walking Dead invade Frights Nights at Thorpe Park, and we were invited to a media event to preview the new attractions as well as some returning favourites.

SPOILER WARNING: our review does contain spoilers, so if you want your experience to be a complete surprise don't read on...

In 2017, brace yourselves for a Fright Nights with even more screams as Thorpe Park collaborates with a global horror phenomenon in anticipation of the event's most horrifying year yet.

With new horror experiences, attractions and even more scares, Fright Nights in 2017 gets even darker. AMC's smash hit TV show The Walking Dead joins the lineup.

Thorpe Park Resort has re-launched Derren Brown's Ghost Train with a terrifying new destination for 2017, and ThemeParks-UK was invited to the press launch to experience the improved Rise of the Demon version.

The attraction brings together live action sequences, special effects, grand-scale illusion and new virtual reality created by Figment Productions using Nokia’s OZO camera and experienced with HTC Vive headsets.
