The developer of London Paramount Entertainment Resort in Kent has once again delayed submitting a planning application for the £3.2 billion attraction, raising concerns over its proposed 2021 opening.

Full plans for the development scheme at the Swanscombe Peninsula site were due to be submitted to the Government this summer, but this will not now happen until the second quarter of 2017.

The ancient and historical location of Stonehenge in the Salisbury plain is going to have a new attraction that could overshadow the thousands of year old stones. An American businessman with roots to the UK has recently submitted planning to build a brand new 42 acre theme park right next to the Stonehenge tourist attraction.

The star attraction will be the Stonehenge Big One roller coaster and will be modelled on the same principle of Blackpool’s biggest ride standing at 213 ft in height and a top speed of 74 mph. The gigantic Stonehenge roller coaster should be seen for at least 30 miles from its location and will block out all sunlight to the famous rocks.

With the retirement of The Flume and now the addition of teasers for a ground-breaking new ride development, the next Secret Weapon project is coming to Alton Towers.

The area occupied by The Flume sits between Mutiny Bay, Katanga Canyon and The Gardens. This is a large wooded area, which fits with plans that are potentially for a wooden roller coaster.

After more than five years of planning and millions of pounds the "biggest, highest and longest" roller coaster in Devon has become a reality and it's at The Big Sheep.

The Big One is 400m long, reaches heights of up to 13m and speeds of over 26 mph. It has been installed above the Battlefield Devon attraction and will open for the Easter bank holiday weekend.

This Easter there is a cracking line-up of events at Flamingo Land in Yorkshire, with an Easter Egg Hunt and the return of Party In The Park featuring X Factor 2015 runners up Reggie ‘N’ Bollie.

The Easter Egg Hunt takes place in Dino Dig over the 4 day Easter weekend. Once a child has found an egg in the sand pit, it can be redeemed in the Dino-Stone Park Shop for a free Cadbury Creme Egg ice-cream stick.

This spring, visitors to Drayton Manor can expect even more monkey business at the theme park's 15-acre Zoo, with the addition of a brand new Tamarin Trail for 2016.

The Tamarin Trail will take adventurers through beautiful planted gardens, allowing children and adults alike to come face to face with a troop of mischievous monkeys. During the trail adventure, guests will be able to get up close and personal with the cute and inquisitive Tamarins and Marmosets, including the White Lipped Tamarin, Red Handed Tamarin, Emperor Tamarin, Cotton Top Tamarin and the Common Marmoset, housed across eight different enclosures.

Tomb Blaster at Chessington World of Adventures has been refurbished for 2016, with an £800,000 investment in the dark ride being made over the closed season.

Tomb Blaster closed in August 2015 for a nine month refurbishment and when the ride reopens this year it will feature a new target system, with laser guns and targets installed by Lagotronics Projects

The Haunting at Drayton Manor has received a face lift for 2016, undergoing renovation work to improve the experience for visitors.

The spooky haunted house, which originally opened in 1996, has had remedial works carried out to enhance it, so that it can continue to thrill and terrify the park's visitors in 2016.

Pleasurewood Hills has announced that an old favourite is back for 2016, as the classic Waveswinger ride returns to the theme park.

The original Waveswinger was a popular ride at the theme park during the 1980s and 1990s. It has been brought back as part of the 'Woody Magic' programme to restore some sparkle and nostalgia.

Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach has announced the addition of a Big Wheel for the 2016 season, offering panoramic views of Great Yarmouth's Golden Mile.

The 33m (108ft) observation wheel will be located by the boating lake at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach and is due to arrive on 14th March for installation, ready to open for Easter on 24th March.
